Isle of Mordialloc 2011

The 2011 Isle of Mordialloc will be held on Jan 30th. As you can see an interesting course has been plotted for our big annual event. Download an entry form and lodge it early.

If you can't compete in the event, help is required to act as race marshalls so please contact Des if you can assist.

We saw a couple of shots yesterday of Independant Endevour in the pen on Sunday night following the dash up the bay.

It was just on midday when the first of the fleet appeared out of the haze, well out towards the shipping channel. There were a number of large sails spread out ahead of the pack and we noticed that a big percentage of the fleet were still in close to the shore ...

Exciting End of Year

The morning conditions were as predicted, fresh NW winds, 15-20 knots with a small and at times choppy sea. Confronted with these conditions and the threatening change, we opted for a short course with a beat out to the mussel culture and then straight back to the pier..........

Well in the story below we can see that Peter Banham has a busy holiday schedule ahead of him what with the big race and keeping things happy on the home front. Sunday saw Moondancer out of the water for a scrub down and the application of a coat of polish. It wasn't all down to getting the boat ready either, as there were a few tasks to complete on the trailer before things would be ready enough to head down to the lakes.
