Following its escape an retrieval last weekend, our No1 Buoy is all cleaned up and has been fitted out with new shackles, ropes and chain. All that remains now is to get out to the spot and put it back in position. A group of interested crew gathered on Thursday evening to make sure everything looked OK. |

There was a bit of a distraction for the crews setting up for the Twilight Race on Thursday evening when an attractive young lady started posing for the camera. Apparently her photographer had decided that the sights around the Island would make a great backdrop for a new Folio he was putting together for her. |

As we reported a few days back, the Wooden Boat show was held at Docklands last weekend. Bob spotted a familiar vessel during his visit. David and Dennis' old boat Leda (new name unknown) - now all shone up and looking fantastic. |  |

Longbeach Challenge Weekend

| After it's postponment a few weeks back, the Longbeach Challenge is being run this weekend. There'll be more details and results in due course but the Saturday night Twilight Event went well with boats back on the mooring by around 8:30 We caught sight of Quicksilver on the webcam as she came home. |  |

It's the Melbourne Wooden Boat Show this weekend and three boats from the club have made the journey up to Docklands. Moonbird & Samantha are entered in the exhibits while Hans aboard Binda is moored nearby. David and Derik can be seen relaxing after their run up the bay on Friday with Gary aboard Moonbird. Clyde's sent in a great shot of Steve and Vicki’s Crossfarr on the Gippsland Lakes from across the holidays with the note: "We found them at Boxers Creek drying out after a very wet night. The boat looked more like Chinese Junk then a slick yacht." |
