For obvious covid reasons, we have not hosted the very popular Open Mic.(rophone) night in recent years. There has been, however, an upsurge in enquiries and an increase in the natural talent within our mighty club sees the reintroduction of the Open Mic. Night.

Join in on this opportunity at MMYC and be part of this World-wide event. Calling All Ladies and girls for Sunday the 9th of October (weather permitting) to participate in a fun sailing race and social gathering afterwards. This will be a great opportunity to either “give it a go,” or to try a different role in a supportive environment e.g helming. Also, to be able to get together and meet each other.

New FOB issue

The old universal PIN no longer works. We will have a last FOB issue session on Sunday 3rd July between 1 pm and 3 pm at the club, to allow members who have not yet obtained their new FOB and PIN to do so.

TRIVIA NIGHT 2022

The MMYC inaugural Trivia Night was a noisy affair with participants in high spirits. Fifty hardy souls braved the chilly Melbourne evening to settle in upstairs in front of a roaring fire, with Mario doing a splendid job as Keeper of the Flame. There were 10 teams competing for the perpetual MMYC Trivia Crown and Trophy. Although some teams were somewhat depleted through illness, competition was fierce with team members surprising themselves with their depth and breadth of knowledge.

Adverse Weather Warning 01062022

In the light of the current winds, tides and sea state members are strongly advised to check their lines and moorings. With the current high tide and prevailing wind direction, some of the walkways around the moorings and on the pub wall are already underwater. Please check the security of your mooring lines asap.
