DELWP Notification

From Wednesday 23rd June 2021 for approximately one week, contractors will close off a section of car park adjacent to Mordialloc Creek for the installation of a new accessible pontoon. The navigable width of the creek will also be reduced during this time.   

The project is part of a $2.6 million Victorian Government commitment to improve recreational boating facilities at Mordialloc Creek.

Scope of works

Six piles will be removed, ten new piles installed and one pile relocated.

Once piling is complete the floating pontoon and gangway will be lifted into place.

Timing

Works are scheduled to commence Wednesday 23rd June 2021 and will take approximately one week to complete, depending on weather.

Access

Some sections of the Car Park will be closed while the works take place. Please expect reduced parking capacity. 

A signposted diversion for the footpath will be in place and fencing will be established on site. Please observe all signs and directions for your safety. 

Buoys will be placed in the creek defining the work zone.
