Water on the Island Update 08th October 2021 PM:

Please note the Island is still without water whilst repairs are ongoing.

The leak has been located and a section of pipe replaced. Unfortunately, when pressure was reapplied more of the pipe disintegrated. It’s very old, very corroded pipe. Council has now indicated that a larger scale repair is needed, and ‘heavy equipment’ will be brought in on Monday.

The workers on site are now estimating completion next week, although which day varies with whom you speak. The council says Monday evening.

In the meantime, the Island is without water and the toilets are not functioning.
